Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity is focused on empowering members to grow into the best version of themselves. Starting from day one, members are welcomed into a close knit brotherhood that lives out the fraternity moto “Every Man a Man.” Lambda Chi Alpha does not have traditional pledges, but more empowered Associate Members instead. Associate Members are able to hold officer positions, vote on chapter matters, and partake in all chapter activities with Initiated Members. The Alpha Tau Zeta Chapter of Iowa State has over 1,100 living alumni spread across the Unites States and the world who enjoy a lifetime of true brotherhood. Our organization is focused on developing members to become better men by living life focused on our core values. Loyalty, Duty, Respect, Service & Stewardship, Honor, Integrity, and Personal Courage collectively evolve our undergraduates into men of high character. The experiences gained during your time as a Lambda Chi Alpha fosters successful careers, relationships, and leaders for life.

Hazing Free Culture
We were the first fraternity to abolish pledgeship in 1972. We have denounced hazing in all forms.
Leadership Development
Our trainings, workshops, and curriculum help men learn essential leadership qualities for their personal growth and future careers.
Academic Focus
Our borhters are in school first and foremost to earn their degrees. Our chapter programming enables brothers to keep high GPAs and focus on timely graduation.
Institutional Ties
Our universities and colleges give us the privilege to join their campus, and we prioritize maintaining a positive relationship with campus leadership.
Associate Member Model
Our program educates men on the history of Lambda Chi Alpha and the ideals of brotherhood. We prepare men for the initiation, but they’re already considered an equal member of the fraternity.
Hazing Free Culture
Our philanthropic partners, like Feeding America and the JED Foundation, help people facing society’s most pressing issues like food scarcity, substance abuse, and mental illness.
